roxannameta:

MY biggest problem with Catwoman #1: the art.

Reading the comic while sitting at a restaurant today, I found myself trying to recreate her facial expression in the above panel. Needless to say, as I was alone in public, it did not go over well.

Guys, THIS IS NOT A NATURAL FACIAL EXPRESSION. Ok, I know I’m not as attractive as Selina Kyle. But her face isn’t showing surprise, or anger, or sadness, but rather some unnatural attempt at combining all three. For those who are interested, I have included some possible alternate expressions. All of which came much more easily to my face.

Unlike, yaknow: 8/ or o/O or maybe o~O or…?

hm.. not quite.

yes. YES! PERFECT!!!

OKAY CLASS!!

I’m gonna be away for a week+, my queue is just about to run out and I don’t have anything decent nor the time to add to my queue. So kids, here’s the plan: you guys leave stuff in my ask box, I’ll draw it in my sketchbook, take a photo and do my best to upload it while away. Little unsure as the signal may be pretty patchy, but we’ll see.

Either way this is your chance to ~shine~! Leave requests, questions, comments, anything. Basically you do the creative part and I’ll do the sloppy production part. Deal? Deal.

Ask away!!

PARTY MOTH!!

AKA death throws moth. same thing, right??

edit: wow oops didn’t realise this was still in my queue

happy 150th post to meee! felt like a number worth celebrating. (yes, over 10, 50, 100, or anywhere in between.)

To Lauren, Have a very sensual birthday! :)(The  most worrying part of this was how familiar it was… as if I’d drawn it before.)

Help!! Can somebody tell me what on earth this is? Found while at a festival if it helps, it has stayed in my pocket as a special treasure for a while now and been bothering me since. It’s very specific and yet I have absolutely no clue what it could be from. (It’s about 2-3 in inches.)

Went a lil… crazy on the ol’… polygonal (cough) lasso.. on this one.In my defence it was a very big hound!! I’m used to my dog being the big one at around 60lbs, this thing was twice his width. It was up to my chest! On the other hand, it definitely wasn’t unfriendly looking enough to warrant my reaction.

Illustrator is a cruel temptress. Strangely attracted to it, despite the fact that this took me coming up to 4 hours when it would’ve taken me 15 minutes tops in photoshop or… anything else for that matter. AND IT WASN’T EVEN WORTH IT rassa fraggin…
Edit, 10 minutes later: ayup even this looks better.  OH WELL c’est la feet
